COMPANY PROFILE

President started as a mainstream pop label in the early sixties, making hits with artsist such as The Equals. In the seventies, with the emergence of disco, it was the company that brought the Miami sound to Britain, scoring a string of hits with George McCrae and KC and the Sunshine Band. Over the years the output diversified to include notable releases in practically every style from Rock to Reggae, taking in World Music, New Age, Nostalgia and MOR along the way.

The catalogue includes a substantial part of the works of keyboard wizard, Rick Wakeman. Following a recent lull on the release front, the label is now poised to make its presence felt once again with an exciting array of new titles planned for 2004. Watch this space!
